Dr Lee visits new Urgent Care Centre in Bracknell
Posted: May 2, 2014
Dr Phillip Lee, Bracknell’s MP, paid a visit to the newly opened Urgent Care Centre at Brants Bridge in Bracknell on Friday 25th April.
Dr Lee has been a prominent voice in the campaign for the new Urgent Care Centre, and is very pleased that the people of Bracknell and the wider region are set to benefit from the full range of medical services now available to them. Open 365 days a year, from 8am to 8pm, the new HealthSpace offers state-of-the-art medical facilities in an easily accessible location. The new services include a dedicated children’s clinic, access to GPs, links to primary care and a specialist minor injuries and illnesses unit.
Dr Lee has worked in Bracknell and the wider Thames Valley region in hospitals and as a GP for many years prior to his election in 2010. As such, he has first-hand knowledge of the local and regional healthcare services, and uses this experience to strive for improved care for local people.
Dr Lee commented: “It’s fantastic to see the new urgent care centre up and running. It will provide an invaluable service for local people, in a location closer to their homes. My foremost priority has always been to secure the best clinical outcomes for both my constituency and the entire region. I will continue to campaign for improved healthcare facilities, but the opening of Brants Bridge is a seminal moment in achieving better healthcare for the people of Bracknell and the surrounding area.”
