Borough (Wildridings and Central)

I have lived in Wildridings for 27 years with my family and all our pets. I am parent to three young adults raised in Bracknell. I was elected in 2007 as your ward Councillor. l am an experienced member of the Council.

As a qualified teacher, I have a range of experience in primary and secondary education. I was delighted to be able to support Wildridings and St Michaels School library projects.

For the past year I have represented the Town Council as the Mayor, with the support of my husband Scott. This has been an excellent opportunity to meet people in our community which I have enjoyed.

I have been involved with supporting local Charities such as Berkshire Woman\'s Aid. Also I was able to help Bracknell Shopmobility as well as the local CAB and St Michaels Church with funding.

The Regeneration of Bracknell Town is now underway and preserving local business is important. I have been extensively involved in planning to improve the shopping area in Wildridings. I have worked with partner agencies and colleagues.

I was able to shape the development of the Threshfields and Ennerdale play parks which now have specialised equipment for children with disabilities.

I am a member of a variety of BFC groups that have looked at Children’s Services and Schools. I was also involved as a member on the BFC Scrutiny Panel. I was involved with the creation of more parking bays within the ward. This is still a key issue .I have been involved with monthly surgery meetings.

I want to keep Bracknell a beautiful and unique place. I have enjoyed every aspect of being a Councillor and would appreciate your support again.

Borough (Wildridings and Central)
Town/Parish (Bracknell)

I have lived in this area nearly all my life and have seen many positive changes in Bracknell Forest Borough. I’ve been a Town councillor for the past 4 years and I’ve been a board member of Bracknell Forest Homes for over 5 years. I have been on multiple committees including Bracknell Forest Homes major works committee, the Town Council’s Recreation Committee and the Syngenta land-share Committee.

I have a great understanding of the issues local people face and I feel it’s very important to try and help others gain the best possible quality of life, I also believe it’s vital we all get the best value for money for the things we all rely upon, so I’m keen to continue the good work our Borough Council has done.

I would like to make sure that our housing and social needs are met to the highest possible standards. I totally support the excellent Urgent Care Centre and look forward to seeing more health facilities in the Health space. I’m keen that we keep as much of our green space as possible as this is enjoyed by so many people.

I work locally, less than a mile outside of the Town Centre so I’m also keen to see local business thrive. When I’m not working or doing council work I relax by making wine, metal detecting and sailing. If you elect me I will remain focused on making the town a great place to live, work and play.
