AT LAST!
WORK TO START ON NEW TOWN CENTRE
Hoardings go up very soon round Broadway and Crossway
Your Conservative Councillors pledged at the last election to regenerate the town centre. Work begins very soon, with hoardings going up and demolition starting in Crossway and Broadway. You will already have seen that Marks & Spencer plan to open a massive new department store, and Cineworld a state of the art new multi-screen cinema. There will be more announcements in coming months about other stores and restaurants coming to Bracknell.
In Princess Square, a £3m refurbishment is under way. A new entrance and more shops, improvements to the lifts and a fresh lick of paint. The work will take 6 months to compete. Bracknell Town Centre is one of the only regenerations of its size in the country going ahead. That means hundreds of jobs for Bracknell residents, over 500,000sqft of new retail space and over 50 shops and restaurants – and a town centre that we can all be proud of. We are delivering!
As your Borough Councillors we are so excited to see the beginnings of the first steps being taken towards our long-awaited Town Centre regeneration.
Due to the careful budgeting of your Conservative-run Borough Council combined with a zero Council Tax freeze we have good news. We are delighted to announce to residents that this has resulted in a healthy £10,000 allocation to each of us to invest in our Ward.
Thank you to those of you who have been able to come to our ‘drop in’ Councillor surgery. These are being held on a regular basis on the first Saturday of each month at the Easthampstead and Wildridings Community Centre between 11am - 12.30pm.
Once again thank you for all your support. We look forward to seeing you out and about in our ward.
Best wishes
