My name is Sue Housego and I am a resident here in Great Hollands.
When I first moved to Bracknell, I lived in Priestwood and Crown Wood as a single-working parent. I have been living in and around Great Hollands for 25+ years. I am now retired and have always enjoyed helping people in any way I can. I know Great Hollands well, and I care about our community, residents and environment. It was with great pleasure that I had contact from local residents who asked if I would like to stand for the Great Hollands South ward of Bracknell Town Council in 2023. It was a big YES from me. With my life experience, love of animals, and work with Keep Britain Tidy, I want to put more back into our community.
Great Hollands is a great place to live, and I want to make it even better by being a strong voice for Great Hollands on the Council. I have lots of ideas for how we can do this and have a track record of helping people. My children went to local schools and I have worked for many businesse based in Bracknell. So, what will I do as your councillor? Whether it is fighting to restore the winter fuel allowance for pensioners, tackling the blight of littering and unsightly weeds springing up almost everywhere, or finding ways to ensure garage blocks and open spaces are maintained, I will be standing up for you. I will campaign for a more visible police presence in Great Hollands to tackle the blight of low-level anti-social behaviour, whether it's littering, untaxed cars, graffiti, or the dangerous use of e-scooters. As your councillor, I will be available in our community to listen to your views and try to find solutions for local problems. I am a 'do-er', not a 'talker' - I am passionate about keeping the GREAT in Great Hollands.
As a resident of Great Hollands I am standing as your local Conservative Party candidate for the by-election on November 7th, your feedback about local issues is essential to me, so please complete my Great Hollands Survey.
I look forward to meeting you and hearing about your aspirations for our community in Great Hollands.
Yours
